DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SELF REALIZATION

We come across this term called SELF REALIZATION quite many times while being involved in network marketing. Every now and then some leader tells this story that how he realized his potential on his own and that moment of self realization led to many achievements one after another.

Many things can lead to this elusive moment of self realization where one starts putting oneself mentally into a state where one wants to be in future. This can come by watching somebody of the same potential getting successful or getting ahead. It can happen by getting recognized for doing some work or by meeting successful people and by attending seminars and gathering of those leaders who motivate us. Nobody knows what will produce that spark which will lead to complete change of everything.

But what I’ve realized seeing my journey backwards that there are many different important events which made me realize so many different things, all of which made substantial contribution to my development. Thus I believe that there are various levels of self realization which one has to undergo to get ahead in network marketing.

•   All those who become a part of the network marketing industry, most of the times they join just to check out if this stuff will work for them or not. And the first realization comes when the income starts kicking in. They start to accept this fact that this is a certain way of earning money for them as well.

 

•   Another stage of self realization according to me comes when people associated with network marketing start accepting it as a real business and thus start giving it similar respect as they’d have given a business where their lifetime’s savings would have been invested.

 

•   The next stage comes when the person associated with this business starts becoming accountable for what is going on in his group and starts taking complete responsibility of his business. Many people even after realizing the fact that network marketing is another business of extreme potential, still treat it as their upline’s business.

 

•   Another important fact to understand is that like any other system of business network marketing also runs on a system and that system revolves around simplicity and duplication and thus developing such a system is the most important corner-stone.

 

  The final and the most important thing to realize is that the time to earn the ultimate income and becoming one of the top earners in the company is right now and the required actions should be taken right now. Waiting for a sponsor to come and help you or life your income up is the utmost act of stupidity which one can commit. Hope is a good thing but only hoping that something will happen or somebody else is gonna come and help is no good at all. 

It is not essential that these all things get realized one by one neither a time buffer is necessary before you realize these things. It can all can happen at once if you keep an open mind .

HEART BROKEN?? DON'T WORRY IT HAPPENS

I’ve seen it happening many times with me that things are absolutely in control and everything is in place where it should be and the fact this time I’m gonna pull out a spectacular result is cent percent on the scene but it just doesn’t happen. And yes I’m going through one of those phases right now where I had planned a lot of things for the months of June and July which aren’t going the way I wanted them to go and had put in a lot of effort for that. But this is how life is! Sometimes one just has to take a deep breath and start all over again. No need to get heartbroken. Just keep your head high and remember this thing that there are times when things don’t turn out the way you wanted to despite putting every foot in correct place and there are times when you don’t do anything and things start happening out for you. LIFE is a great leveler, so enjoy this moment as well.

3 STEPS -- GET YOUR NEXT RANK

We all have various types of goals in network marketing. We have 5yr goals, 1 yr goals, 1 month goals, weekly goals and so many other types of goals. But one of the most exciting things which network marketing provides is the various RANKS. And you don’t have to be dependent on any senior or the company to get ahead and achieve the next PIN RANK as you always know how many sales are required and there is no partiality. And I find that the people who are sharp and smart and who have got things going and have got the momentum, they are very focused on the next rank. They are always calculating the various ways of achieving the next rank – how many people they need to help to get to the next rank, how many various options they have, what do they need to do to get it done, etc. 

 

So, here is what I want you all to do. I want you to create a business plan around your next Rank Advancement using the following three simple steps:

        I.            Know what’s required for you to get to the next rank

      II.            What is your game-plan to get it done

    III.            What is your DEADLINE

v  What’s required for the RANK ADVANCEMENT

You need to find out how many sales you require exactly for getting to the next rank. Who are the important people to work with so that the advancement in their pin rank can help you advance as well! While you will do this calculation, you’ll find that you have got various options and thus this gives u a little bit of bargaining power which is also very important.

v  YOUR GAME PLAN

What’s your game plan specifically to achieve the target! This can be by organizing events, by taking care of the volume, home meetings, getting a large group of people to a big meeting, helping people way lower down in the genealogy to help in their rank advancements, etc. HAVE A GAME PLAN.

v  DEADLINE

There is something amazing about a deadline. There is something great about having to get something done before a deadline. That is the reason why there are so many rank advancements just before the company’s convention, because want to have a new rank when they have a get together. That deadline can be an event organized by you only or anything which is of importance as it will push you more.

So, all the best for you to get to the next rank as fast as possible. Keep growing and keep moving ahead.

Beware Of The Witch Hunt

In the past whenever a society faced any epidemic or a big problem, the reason was thought to be the effect of a devil or witch living amongst them. Thus the solution was to hunt the witch which usually ended up in killing of innocent women in the society. When the science developed and microscopes were invented, they realized that the real reason behind those epidemics and diseases were the unhygienic conditions which were prevailing amongst them. Moreover, some witch was never responsible for their dreadful situation. The question is then why did people thought about the witch being the reason for their problems? 

The answer to this question is in the simple fact that it is always easier to blame somebody else for your fault. Don’t worry if you do it, because humans in general have this habit in-built in them. It is really difficult to take responsibility of something which went wrong and only a few brave sole have been able to do so. But for becoming successful in network marketing one has to become responsible enough to take the responsibilities of the mistakes committed by himself or by any other as well because doing the witch hunt will neither add to your respect nor to your bank balance.

So, what to do when a situation arrives which has been the fault of other people. Immediately your response should be talking to yourself that how can you bail everybody out of this situation, how can you handle this better, how can I solve this problem!!  The problem with blaming somebody is that the moment you blame somebody for a problem you don’t have the control or rather you refuse to take control of the situation and thus your business. While when you take responsibility, you also take the charge of the situation as well as your business. And it’s always better to be in control rather than to be dependent on witch hunt!

TRADITIONS - HUGE BINDING FORCE

One  very important factor which binds together a group is the traditions which a group/organization follows. All the strongest organizations and families have traditions. What traditions do you have when somebody's rank advances? What traditions do you have when somebody hits a milestone? What traditions do you have when something of importance happens in your group?

Your company might have its traditions but you also need to think of traditions which your group follows!!

These traditions can be anything from cake cutting when somebody gets his first cheque to being honoured in front of everybody when somebody changes a tag. It can be giving the opportunity to the new Silver or Gold associate to be the new presentor or anything like this which gives them memories to keep with them. Because when tough times will come, people will stay with you because of those traditions. They'll become more resilient and will see through the tough phase with you.

“MONEY IS A BY- PRODUCT”

This goes out for everybody who is not making 1 lakh rupees a week, who are still in their jobs and working with network marketing on a part time basis. “DONOT FOCUS ON THE MONEY”. Money is always a by-product of something you do well. If you are a good at law – you’ll earn money; you are good at football- you’ll earn money; you are good at writing- you’ll make money. So it’s the skill set which makes you a rich man.

The problem with “money” being your motivation is that every business usually has a learning curve and most of the times you learn by failing and that failure teaches you a huge lesson – life long lesson. And the problem with failing is that while you fail – you don’t earn. And thus the motivation goes out for a stroll in the park and many times never comes back.

When your motivation is something other than money then you concentrate on getting yourself more and more skilled. And mind you, every skill is important-

·         Presentation

·         Calling people for a meeting

·         Promotion of an event

·         Giving training

·         Finding people to talk to

·         Prospecting

·         Following up

·         Closing a sale

·         Getting people started

Focus on skills. Don’t worry about your position, don’t worry about getting lucky, don’t worry about the money. The money will come but it will come after the skills.

 And trust me money will come- it always comes. Focus on developing your skills on a regular basis the way you go to learn playing a guitar or the way you go about learning swimming.

BUILDING MOMENTUM

It is always told that in network marketing one gets awesome results when the momentum is build and that produces wonders and unprecedented results. The question is –“How can we create this momentum deliberately?”  This certainly is a million dollar question and the answer lies in analyzing the success –another topic which I’ll be covering in another blog.

The buildup of momentum usually starts when a group of leaders (core group) take it upon themselves to produce one substantial result which is being recognized by other working associates. All of us working together know that there is certainly a lot of potential in this business and we also know or have met those people personally who have been earning plenty but somehow we don’t find ourselves in that league. It takes an act of leadership either by an individual or a group of closely knit leaders (part of a core group) to stand up and produce a result which is more than regular and is certainly recognized by everybody. Once that is done other associates or groups start believing in themselves for producing similar or better results as they have always kept themselves in the same league as the other individuals who have come out in flying colors in the same circumstances as them and this positive competition builds up the required momentum which brings the unified result and the group starts performing more and more as they crave the encouragement, appreciation and recognition.

We need to take care of another important thing we need to deliberately appreciate the new performance and create this sort of competition amongst associates. We are working with common people and common people die for recognition and appreciation and they get jealous really quickly as compared to other classes of people. And by jealousy I don’t mean to put it in negative sense. One of the famous hindi movie dialogue goes like this – “when a friend fails, we feel bad but when he tops while we underperform, this feels worse “. So this is an awesome management trick if used properly.

So in short – positive competition, public appreciation of the performing individuals starts building up of momentum!!!
